What is Saa Thum?

Saa Thum takes your havan or puja deep into the Himalayas. Our small crew travels to remote, peaceful mountain temples that ordinary pilgrimage never reaches, and the temple’s own pujari performs your ritual in your name.

How it works

1. Choose your ritual. Pick a havan or puja by what you’re hoping for, by deity, or by festival under Explore. Each event names the temple where it is performed.
2. Book with your name. Each havan or puja has its own sankalp, which the pujari recites at the altar for every devotee.
3. We go to the temple. Our crew films the ritual and live streams it when the mountain network allows.
4. Receive your video and prasad. We email you the full video, and dry prasad from the temple follows by courier if you chose it.

Why the mountains

Across Uttarakhand and Himachal there are small temples kept alive by a pujari and his village, far from the pilgrim routes. The families who look after them face hard winters and very little income, and many still feed the sadhus meditating in the caves above. We work only with positive temples: Shiva and Parvati, Vishnu, Ram and Sita, Krishna and the gentle Himalayan Devis. We stay away from temples known for animal sacrifice, fear or dark practices, and every ritual we perform is benefic. We never tell you something bad will happen if you don’t book.
